My grandmother (Beverly Walton) plays a huge role in my life. My Nana and I bumped heads a lot in the past but it was not until I had become an adult to realize that she meant well. Nana was always buying what I needed instead of what I wanted. She was very strict and determined to making sure I would not become of an idled mind. I was obligated to read the dictionary, read learn and write the state and all capitols, and learn my presidents, my lakes and planets. I hardly got to hang out or even go to church because she felt it was a privilege or an activity. My room consisted of plenty books and a computer. I had a pretty structured life after my mom died. My grandmother made me feel like I was the smartest person even though I did not feel that way. She gave me confidence.

My Aunt and uncle (Terrence And Cynthia King) They took me under their wing and played a parenting role in my life. I get counseling, guidance and much love from them. My dad is my pastor and he always reinsures me. Mom is such a sweet heart and will tell you how it is even if you do not want to hear it. They both impact my life by being great leaders in my life and always wanting what's best even when they know I made a horrible decision. I think my parents seen something in me since I was a little girl because they bring it up often. My dad told me I was like a flower all closed up and on my on time I had opened up and blossomed and it was all because of them. My parents pushed my out of my comfort zone.

My boyfriend (Joshua Jessie) is another one who tells me how it is about my relationship or education or whatever. I know at the end of the day he means well but I love that he speaks truth. Joshua is definitely one of my biggest supporters and makes me feel like I am doing something right. He can really show tough love sometimes. Josh has taught me patience and to be more independent with my thoughts and decisions.

My twin sister (La'Shonte Mathews) is such a kind hearted person. She is always calm about everything. I love that I can go to her about anything in life and we have been separated since eleven years of age after my mothers death. My sister helps me to be real with myself, she helps me understand me. My sister is always telling me to go for it. My sister is always telling me how beautiful I am and what I do inspires her.
